One of my associates at work happens to be a movie star/celebrity type person.
I am sure you have seen him in movies, TV, commercials. Eduardo Ricard.
He started back in the early 70's doing parts in almost every sitcom and law show and has had a pretty good run over the years, especially during the 80's. That was when he got typecast as the crazy South American dictator, general, colonel, whatever.
Anyway, I asked him recently about his film/movie stuff and he said it was a hobbie, a good way to earn a little extra money.
He is by trade a refrigeration, cascade system and high vacuum specialist and a damn good one at that, and has been with my company for as long as he has been in film.
You can see his work in the movies "Best Defense" with Dudly Moore and "Deal of the Century" with Chevy Chase
His advice to anyone wanting to be a movie star, keep your day job.

Its so cool to hear about someone like that who sounds like a pretty down-to-earth kinda guy. Kudos to him. He got to live his dream, I'm sure. I'm playing in a band and we may record an album, but I don't count on being some kind of Rock God. Plus, I'm kinda way past any age of vanity about that. I play music and go to work. Ride my bike. Hang with the wifey.

I dont think I have the looks to be in the movie industry. Either way. I think that it's great that he has a hard working job...not saying acting isn't hard, but I think that goes a long way with peoples character.

The truth be my Bike was a movie star a former tv Bike with at least 13 tv appearences and 6 magazine shoots

I have only done the tv thing twice and it was with out the bike

I used to have a '62 Triumph T120R that was used in movies. It was ridden by one of Eric von Zippers gang, the Ratz MC in a bunch of corney beach/surf movies. It was in poor shape when I got it, came from the old Cars of Stars museum here in SoCal. It was in their warehouse when they closed the museum and I got it from a guy who paid 100 bucks for it at the clearance auction. I rode that thing daily for a couple of years after I got it cleaned up.
