Leather

If you had not already noticed there is a link called Biker Leathers which takes you to our affiliate store for Fox Creek Leather.

Now if you are not familiar with Fox Creek Leathers you are really missing something special. They are an all American shop using all American leather, parts and labor to make very high quality, competitively priced riding gear.

I found these guys after looking at tons of different leather jackets and not really being satisfied with the quality, and usually the price was $400.00 plus. So I surfed around and came across Fox Creek. I liked the fact they were all American so I took a leap of faith and ordered the classic jacket. Its the best quality leather jacket I have ever seen. The leather is THICK and supple - really really nice.

So if you are in the market for for SWEET leather stuff, do me a favor and check out Fox Creek - we need to support the all American craftsman.

Just a RANT...

clothes online

I only buy stuff like jackets from Zanotti's after I try them on at the local dealer. Kinda stinky I know, but the price can't be beat.

I look at clothes in shops try em on see if I like it - then I order it from Fox Creek Leather. I have a thing for Made in the USA by a small craftsman shop.

I cannot speak for any other vendors but everything I have bought from Fox Creek surpasses the quality of store bought stuff.

I buy almost anything online, but my jacket from Fox Creek is the first clothing item (other than t-shirts) I've ever bought online. They have a foolproof measure method that worked great for me. I bought the jacket that was the closest to my size (but was known to certainly be wrong). As soon as I received it, I was instructed to put it on and call the nice people at Fox Creek for a custom fit "walk though." That assured me that I was holding my arms a certain way, and measuring from exactly the right spot. At that point, I sent the one I recieved back (free shipping both ways), and they crafted one exactly to my specifications. I must say, this jacket is a work of art, and because of my slim build and long arms, is the ONLY jacket I've ever owned in my life, leather or otherwise, that fits totally right.
With good customer service, good prices, free shipping, and good quality, how can you NOT shop online at such a great company?

Rick

Re: Leather

When I went out to buy my leathers, I looked at it as a lifetime investment. Something to keep forever. So I decided on a set of tailored leathers by Bates Leathers in Long Beach. A fully lined and insulated jacket and a set of chaps. I love 'em. I've had three Harleys since I've owned those leathers. I can't say enough good things about getting a set of tailor made to fit leathers. Bates is top quality. EXPENSIVE, but top quality.

When FoxCreek came out with their leather overpants I bought a pair. The first set was too large. I took pics with my digital cam and sent them back to FoxCreek. The second set fit perfectly.

I have to say, I too am a fan of FoxCreek. I am looking real hard at their peforated vented summer weight jacket.

Just wanted to chime in with our recent experience at Just Leathers...

We made a run down to Just Leathers (www.justleathers.com) last weekend as they were having their annual "Blowout Parking Lot Sale". I was skeptical at first and a little reluctant to make the run down to San Jose (2 1/4 hour drive for us) but decided to do it. I think that they were happy we did as we spent a lot of money there.

Just wanted to run the "deals" that we received there for some feedback.
  • Qty of 2 Bikers Leather Stuff Chaps (altered to our heights) - $100/each
  • Qty 1 FMC Womens Leather Vest - $50
  • Qty 1 Highway Hawks Mens Leather Vest - $50
  • Qty 1 First Classic Leather Gear Womens Leather Jacket with Thinsulate Removable Liner - $150
  • Qty 1 Excel Bikers Stuff Mens Leather Jacket with Thinsulate Removable Liner - $200
So basically, my wife and I got all leathered out for $650 which we were pretty excited about. No sales tax either!!! The salesman that we worked with (possibly the owner) was named Mark and he was awesome. Took his time, made sure things fit as they should, made the necessary alterations (also added a leather cell phone tab for me for free on my chaps, it was even his suggestion, giving the impression that he cares), and had great customer focus and service.

Just wanted to throw this out on this board to see if anyone is familiar with these. We were happy with the overall experience and would recommend this retailer...

I would definitely go back...

Re: Leathers fo Go...

I have heard nothing but good things about Fox Creek and would buy from them... I still have a warm place in my heart for a Vanson jacket, but, who knows.

That being said, I own the H-D FXRG Jacket and Pants... The quality to price ratio is shit. The only reason I bought them was because I get a fat discount and also had a gift certificate. To pay full price for that stuff is retarded... you can get so much more for your money. but some people just have to have the bar and shield logo... whatever. I took the H-D emblem off my FXRG jacket and put a patch over it. :)

Langlitz is top quality.

If I lived in Portland instead of LA, I'd be wearing Langlitz instead of Bates. In 1992 I went to Portland on business, and I am still kicking myself for not getting measured up and having leathers made.
