Redwood Run - June

Hey y'all. Wife and I are trying to decide between the Redwood Run or Hell's Canyon Run on the 12th of June weekend. Anybody know of or been to the Redwood Run? Looks like a blast, but seems a bit regulated with the booze and food all being provided by vendors. Not allowed your own? Speak up if ya been there. Thanx!

no but I could have answers for you this afternoon
but then again my brother that I am riding with today normally doesn't have to pay for any of the runs he goes on (so maybe not )

I do know they have a website set up to check it out and I think the prices are listed on it

All I know is that I'm going to try to make it this year. Last year was a bust and didn't make it. That sucked! Anyway, I've always taken my own booze and snacks. However, I've found the food to be pretty darn good and I've always gained a pound or two!

Many times, you can get tickets much cheaper by going to the gate and finding the CMA table that sells tickets for those that didn't make it. Friends will drop off the tickets and then they are sold at what ever CMA can get. (Proceeds go back to the original purchasers.) One hell of a great service my the CMA members. Many times a bit cheaper that the origianl cost. Just a thought. Not even sure if the pratice is still done.

Great Rally! A bit pricey, but it's only money.....if ya got it.

I was there in '99,great party but the camping sucked.
Dusty as hell and not enough toilets and showers.
I would hope it's better now but I wouldn't bet on it.
I haven't been back mostly because it's gotten just to expensive,run 21 in Oregon is less than half the cost as are most other runs although you won't have the big name bands.
Last I knew tickets were $100 per person!

I gotta disagree with the last post. Redwood Run for '07 is their 30th Anniversary. This year's gonna be the best ever...Greg Allman & Friends, Joan Jett, Joe Bonamasa, Molly Hatchet, etc! The food was good last year, the river is a great place to soak up sum rayz 'n wash off the dust if you cain't get into the showers & the likker was cold, strong & avaiable. (whaddya need to take a shower fer anyways??...its jes fer a weekend!) Folks inside the rally were cool & respectful. The ridin in this area is boooful. This is old school & not for folks who gotta have AC & the comforts of home.

The wife and I were wondering about the same thing, and still haven't decided.
Hells Canyon half price and closer, would have more time and money left for other summer rides.
Redwood bigger event, and would take a week to do it right.
Guess time will tell, but I'm sure we will have fun which ever happens.
