Question shut down

Was riding my 2007 fatboy yesterday morning and as soon as i let off the throttle and engaged the clutch it shut down, this occured 3 times.... i was able to restart it right away each time. now this all occured around 0830,later that afternoon i was unable 2 replicate this,the bike ran fine. sounds (to me) that it was vapor locking,does anybody else think differnt?

Strange. I was riding my 07 Fat Boy to work Monday morning and I noticed on decel that my bike was backfiring and blue flames were shooting out the pipes. Then, cruising into the gate at my facility, the bike just died. It started right up and ran fine on the way home that afternoon.

I ended up installing new spark plugs, checking gaps, ensuring exhaust bolts were tight, and checking my Power Commander, but never could figure out exactly what was happening. Runs fine now though.

Did yours backfire before it died?
