Sturgis Ride Report

Ok so I am in Idaho Falls now which is south of West Yellow Stone.
Its been a great 2 days or riding so far!

Ok so I left Monday, I am riding solo, at about 7am and blasted to Redding. The I5 is not a great road but in the morning air oin a monday it had a magical element to it. The smell of fresh air - Dry Hay - senses are working.

From Redding I cut across the 299 to Alturas CA. The 299 is a nice road with many logging trucks so it was fun but man those trucks drive fast.
Alturas is a small eastern CA town, I think the biggest thing about that town is the 299 / 395 junction.

I head north on 395 - the land scape turns in to the high definition theater I wa looking for...past goose lake - Lake Albert and the Alkali lake - that is an udderly SPECTACULAR ride. The lake on one side the Lava plateaus of Oregon on the other side. Nature truly is Gods playground.

After I passed the lakes the ride on 395 turns long and desolat - 90 miles of nothing. I saw very few cars, came up on a sportbike going 60 mph - crusied up to him waved. Hre looked at me and pointed to his gas tank indicating he was close to empty and worried - I hung with him till the junction of 395 and 20 where there was gas - he had 0.3 gallons left thankfully he made it.

Into Burns OR - nice town,

Now the ride from Burns to Boise on Hyw 20 is another bikers dream road. Sweeper turns - nice twisties - along the teal river bed... amazing. I had a hard time keeping my eyes on the corners.
At Boise I decided that I needed a bit of highway time - so up on to the 84 east and up to 80mph and away I went to Idaho Falls. 500 miles later here I am.

Tons of bikes onm the roads - I have run into quite a few Australians who shipped thier bikes over here for a 6 week ride. Nice...

The weather has been perfect... absolutley perfect.

I am happy.

Ok it's official by the time most of you return from the big party in the hills Crusher will have relocated ! (go west young man go west)
our new resident Managers have suceeded in "PISSING in my Cheerios" one last time , I have in my posession the reservations for our moving truck . now that they have been served with our move out notice , they want to come in and make the repairs we have requested 18 months ago
