Volcano ride

I love it when I get paid to ride!

I rode up near Mt.St.Helens to measure a vacation home job for our cabinet shop yesterday afternoon.
It's a 1 1/2hr ride from the shop so I left about noon and called it a day when I got done, since I was already up there I went for a ride in the Nat. Forest.

Mt.St.Helens near the job site.

Mt.Adams from USFS Rd. #9300 in the Gifford Pinchot NF.
This mountain is all wilderness area and the North side pictured is the farthest from civilization.
The 9300 rd is paved for 10 miles from the #25 rd near Mt.St.Helens then turns to gravel. (where I turned around.)
Seriously wild country,I didn't see a single sole on the 9300 and only a couple cars on the 25.

Thanks for the pics. We do live in a beautiful area. Rides up here in November are great, partly because you feel like you are cheating, getting away with something. Mt.Baker is snow covered now.

Good pics Y2K--do you work for Hayes?? It is nice to ride to jobs and check them out........customers love it when I roar up on my scoot, subs and workers don't----oh well. Nice Mountain shots. The ones you took in first submission, are they from Castle Rock side or Cougar side??

Yeah I love riding to job sites to meet customers, did one out in White Salmon 10 miles North of town a couple months ago, great ride that was.

Those first pics of St.Helens were from the "Cougar side" about 25 miles past Cougar (East) between Pine Creek and the Muddy River.
The Adams shots were way up the 93 rd between Pine Creek and USFS 90 North of Trout Lake, the Spencer Butte area.
In other words Bu Fu Egypt
