Went down last night

I figured it was bound to happen sooner or later...I was lane splitting last night on HWY 13 South right before 580 when somebody went to switch lanes right in front of me. I locked up the front brake and went down pretty hard on the right side. My right knee is pretty well scraped up as my dumb ass wore jeans instead of leather. The bike (my wife's new Ducati) has mostly cosmetic damage. The guy that cut me off was cool about it. He stopped and helped me to the side of the road and then stuck around untill the CHP showed up. My wife, bless her heart, was cool about her brand new bike being wrecked. This sucks!

the money, that has to suck, wifeys new bike
and all. Decent the driver at least offered

Sorry to hear about your wreck, but glad that your able to talk about it. Sometimes shit happens and it's not fun for sure, but makes us humble afterwords and grounds us back to the real world at times. Well, it does, me anyway because I've only got two brain cells.

Thanks for the support, guys. No, it wasn't my first "rodeo." I went over the handlebars of a brand new FXD a few years ago while going about 60. I was encased in leather from head to toe and wearing a full faced helmet and walked away with nothing more than a sore pinky finger. Un-freakin'-believeable, that was!

Anyway, the damage estimate is looking like close to 10k!!!! Holy Cow! Thank God the insurance is paid up.
