Just a suggestion, change the color of your post font, the contrast of the tittie bar flourescent purple on black background is a bit much for these old eyes.

Hey Hypno,
Dig the 79 FXE man. I had a 78 FXE I picked up in 1985...had my fuckin' knees in the wind for 22 or so years on that baby! after a couple of motor rebuilds and god knows how many miles I sold her in 2007. still miss it! thats when I picked up the 99 FXDX.

Welcome to the forum from a very wet Central California. Although I did sneak in a ride today. Jus got wet for about 10 miles.

Thanks man - Mine has had a rebuild as well. These old bikes have soul and will keep going if you take care of them. I'm thinking of semi-retiring this one, keeping it for short rides and getting something new for the longer trips.

What the hell Hypno, did you bring this crap weather with you!

Supposed to rain again this weekend. I'm retired, so everyday is Saturday, BUT my riding buddies are still working. Saturday is riding day, Sunday if family time.

Jeeeez, I hope not, if I did, it would still be snowing.

I moved here from Min-ne-ne-sota! Land of 10,000 lakes and ice fishing!

That's it - from now on I'm riding in the rain. Done that many times before, just never by choice.

Sunny today with a few clouds. Its gonna be dry and partly sunny this Friday through the weekend...is this Oregon? YEEEHAAAAA!

( Yeah Hypno...Done the rain rides a plenty...sometimes you just got to get out on the road no matter what! )

Happy days are here again! The rain has stopped, and I'm out in the sunshine riding.
