| Re: Leather Riding Pants I had a great comment on this one! But, I think I'm way ahead by passing and keeping my thoughts to myself. Sometimes I run on the ragged edge and I think I'll start this week on a good note.![]() Scorpion __________________ Live for today, remember yesterdays lessons, peek into tomorrow for guidance and the hell with the rest! |

| Re: Leather Riding Pants I've gotta have armor in my leathers. That's non-negotiable! The first time I had to USE that armor, I was glad I had it. There's nothing like going over the handlebars and kissing pavement at 60 mph to make one appreciate the finer points of sturdy leather and armored pads at the knees/hip/elbows/shoulders. __________________ Make like a fetus...and HEAD OUT! | Re: Leather Riding Pants Quote:
I wished I had looked for leathers w/armor before I obtained all the leather that I've got now. The leather that I do wear is thicker than most and gives me some comfort of mind. Also, no matter how hot it gets, I've got full leathers on and that has been my non-negotiable item for me along with having no alcohol before the bike is put away for the day. Been there, done that on the 60 mph ground kissing. Not fun no matter how you calculate it! I wonder if you can put some armor in existing leathers? I guess I can do a search and find out. Might be a smart thought for a change on my part. Scorpion __________________ Live for today, remember yesterdays lessons, peek into tomorrow for guidance and the hell with the rest! |

| Re: Leather Riding Pants It shouldn't be a problem to get armor installed in existing leathers. In all armored leathers I've seen, there has been a pouch sewn into the liner in which you slide the armor pad...so assuming your leathers have some kind of liner, it should be no big deal to take that to a seamstress along with the the armor you'd like installed and have them custom-fit the pouches into your pants/jacket, etc. __________________ Make like a fetus...and HEAD OUT!
