Good point indeed. However, when I was younger, I thought, actually knew that I was both!

Just be careful on what you 'sponge' up. I've gotten a few surprises from this forum. All good of course!

Re: Your. . . Safety Practices

Here is one of my safety tips. Avoid Mr Mack

Never follow a truck to closely. The brake lights are higher and further appart and there is no 3rd eye. There is a tendency to miss the brake lights when they stop. On top of that, they have a much higher incidence of brake light failure. Lastly if one blows a tire the resulting aligator can easily head your way.

Re: Your. . . Safety Practices

Remember invisability is often the problem of the rider. I get too many people clad in black leather, with a black helemet on a black bike telling me the people pull out in front of them.

Funny I use a red full face with retro reflective and red mesh jacket and hyper lights and I seldom have the same problem.

I always back off a bit if I can't see through the windows of vehicle in front of me. I want to know what is in front of them too.

I totally agree with Dangerous. I always try to make a point of looking through the car ahead of me to expect what the car in front of them is going to do.

Great thread Scorpion.

One not to one's self when obtaining new tires during the wet winter. As always, when you get new tires and it's wet outside as it is now, be careful and ride especially conservative until you get that thin film off the tires and get that chaffing. They're slick enough when they are new on dry, but in we weather, pucker factor comes up very fast.

Just thought I'd remind all on this. I just got a new rear tire and it was raining pretty hard, yes the initial oil was off the road, but never the less, it was a bit slippery for the first few miles. Just a though.
