| Bullet Proof style riding vest The Fox Creek bulletproof style motorcycle vest. My friends over at fox creek sent me this vest to review. Its styled as a bullet proof vest. This is another high quality product with very Urban styling. The vest is a styled like a standard issue bullet proof vest, but do not be confused this is not bullet proof, just styled that way. ![]() The vest is held on with the help of velcro straps on the sides and top of the vest so it can be adjusted for comfort. Its got a nice snug fit and could be worn under a jacket. When I first saw the style of this vest I wondered about it, but while I was down in Laughlin I noticed that other vendors had the same style, and people were buying them. So I took some time to see what the quality of these vests and, let me tell you they were not a Fox Creek product. These products were made of thing stiff Pakistani Leather and manufactured in china and imported into the US. ![]() We need to be conscious of where our stuff is being made and by whom. I will spare you my rant on Pakistani Leather products (can you say Taliban) or Chinese made products (can you say prison labor) but my opinion is that we should be supporting American companies, especially bikers. Fox Creek is an all american company and this product is an all american product. The bullet proof styling is in tune with our security conscious society in which we live, so if you want to look different from your peers check out this product. I have had some ideas about this product like how to make it better, when well manufacturing wise there is not much I can say. You could get creative though and buy some kevlar shields and retro-fit this vest with them to get some real protection... just kidding! The leather used in this supple and soft with minimal grain, it feels like a middleweight leather so good for summer riding. The velcro which is on the shoulders and sides is strong so once its on it is not coming off. The front panel of the vest has about 1/2 of some sort of padding on it this provides some nice protection from the wind. The back panel is straight leather and looks really nice and clean - perfect place for your club patch. ![]() There are two pockets with snaps on the front panel which are quite large, they are different them what is shown on the Fox Creek Leather web site, but seem to function well. The vest comes in black, red and blue. We reviewed the black one. If you are looking for a vest which will set you apart and you have seen the new cool bullet proof vest styles, Fox Creek is a great way to support the American craftsman and get a high quality product.
