I have been running this forum for many years and I have to say this is the quietest bunch of fucking bikers I have ever come across.

I may look bundeled up but thats my tourging bag and my riding leather - that shot was taken early morning in montana on the way to Sturgis - right now there is little warmth where I live - fucking hate winter

He lives in NORTHERN California, it does get cold there.

On the other hand, down here in SOUTHERN California it is 72* right now!

Us westerners have Thick blood, much under 60* and we are FREEZING!

I grew up omn the east coast and I really hated the winter there - since moving to CA 22 years ago I have an even lower tolerance for the cold... call me a wimp.. I had a real close call pne year coming back from Las Vegas Bike week - it was hot as hell in the bay area - scorching in Las Vegas - last day we hit the 95 north and its blowin 45 mph from the west hard - not a good sign - I had on summer riding gear and thats all I had - by the time I got to Gold Field it was fucking 40 degrees out and I was COLD - bought some shitty clothes and rode to Lee Vining - when I pulled it it was 30 degrees out and I was frozen to the core - still makes me feel cold when I think about it. It was pretty cool riding over tioga pass with snow all over the place.....

I don't mind the winter too much, it's just that it's so long. At least here we don't get any other weather that's destructive. Once the snow banks melt away, all's good.

Yesterday we hit the mid 30's, sunshine, it was tee shirt weather, if it wasn't for the de-icer on the road I would have gone for a short, very short ride.
