It's traditional for two motorcyclists passing in opposite directions to give each other a little wave. Sometimes just a lift of a finger, but it is a friendly thing to do.

When my father taught me to ride 35 years ago he told me to always keep my hands on the bars so as to have complete control of the motocycle. Waving is for folks in parades. I guess things have changed. I have enough to focus on while riding then to be waving at everyone. Its kind of akin to a cager on a cell phone in my mind.

waving is a choice but when out in open space, why not? if you can't take the hand off the left side, maybe you you need two more wheels. if you you don't to respond, guess the therapist didn't help. i listened to my father, but alot of fun was gonna missed if i did all he said. i like to watch activity, not words if a conflict. and i almost have been as much fun as dad.
